24 year old Henry Plumb is an award winning drummer from the San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, and recent graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, class of ‘23. Beginning to play at age 4, he has become well versed in a myriad of genres, including big band and small group Swing, Gospel, Funk, Fusion, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Latin/Afro-Cuban, New Orleans Second Line, and odd time signature music. In the words of esteemed saxophonist and educator Paul Contos,“His innate ability to commandeer many styles is paramount, attributing to his passion, and is supported by his practice regimen and disciplined work ethic.”
During his time at Berklee, Henry studied with many renowned drummers, including Francisco Mela, Dave DiCenso, Marko Djordjevic, James Murphy, Neal Smith, Lil John Roberts, and Casey Scheuerell. Henry now plays regularly around the Bay Area and beyond with established artists/groups such as Jazz Mafia, Collectivity, The Kyle Athayde Dance Party, The Nate Sparks Big Band, June Cavlan, Adam Klipple, Erik Jekabson, Speakeasē, Oakadelic, Giorgi Mikadze, Tony Peebles, and Chris Aschman. He’s also shared the stage with Allen Stone, Leo Pellegrino, Chucho Valdés, Eddie Barbash, and Matt Wilson.
